Bar · Live Music Venue Playa Blanca

Barney's is one of the best-loved live music bars in Playa Blanca, in an open-air spot with lovely views across the bay towards the marina. Barney himself plays most nights along with guest musicians, and it's the music people come back for, though the food is worth a look too, with Canarian dishes and homemade burgers. Drinks are reasonably priced and the welcome is friendly. It gets busy, so get there early for a good seat. Read more

Live Music Venue Puerto Del Carmen

Tucked away in the old town near the harbour, Electric Island is the best live music bar in that part of Puerto del Carmen, and the only one down there. A resident three-piece band plays six nights a week (closed Sundays), running through rock and pop covers, Oasis, the Stereophonics, Snow Patrol, the Killers, in sets that can go close to three hours. There are two different levels and a dancefloor so everyone gets a view, and the drinks are fairly priced. Live Music Venue · Restaurant Puerto Del Carmen

The Good Old Days Bar & Kitchen is the only 1970s-themed bar in Lanzarote, on the Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, with a rooftop terrace and sea views. The food is home-cooked comfort stuff, done well and in big portions, the fish and chips, steak and ale pie and Sunday roasts that keep people coming back, along with a good cocktail and gin list. There's live music every night from around nine, plus retro DJ nights playing the old classics on vinyl. It's a friendly, easy spot for a good meal and some entertainment, whether or not you remember the seventies first time round. Read more

Bar · Live Music Venue Puerto Del Carmen

The Irish Viking is the oldest Irish bar in Puerto del Carmen, running since 1986, and since 2024 it's been in the hands of Rory Gallagher and his wife Cara, who also run Rory's Corner Bar and Live Lounge nearby. Just off the strip in the new town, it's a big, characterful old bar full of vintage Irish signs and pub bric-a-brac, holding up to 180 people, and it's now Rory's main gig venue. There's live music seven nights a week, often Rory himself or one of his line-up of musicians, and it shows all the sport across multiple screens, with a particular focus on the GAA. Good Guinness, fair prices and a pool table. It doesn't do food, but for a proper Irish bar with live music and sport, it's one of the best in the resort.
