La Lanterna
La Lanterna is about as authentic an Italian as you’ll find in Puerto del Carmen, and one of the best-rated restaurants on the strip. It’s up on the first floor on the Avenida de las Playas, a small place with sea views, and it fills up fast, so book ahead or you may well be turned away.
The food is the draw: proper homemade pasta, fresh pizza made with natural yeast, and a tiramisu people rave about, all done by Italians who clearly know what they’re doing. It’s a touch pricier than some of the other Italians nearby, but most people reckon it’s worth it for the quality, and the service is warm and friendly. Open every evening, it’s a safe bet for a really good Italian meal, so book a table and enjoy it.
